The Cape is well known for its stormy winters. Today is one
of those windy days, the nemesis of many an umbrella, turning them spikes
up to leave you unprotected against the driving rains.
Being cooped up here since my
last (catastrophic but somewhat humorous) outing on 6 April I have to find the pretty in my days. Today
it comes from the beautiful memories of the many trips we were fortunate to
undertake. I remember our travels, no longer with longing to be in such places, but with joy look back on every phase of my life. I have peace in my heart that I'm on a different journey now that brings it's own blessings.
With the words of St Francis I praise the Lord for the
privilege of seeing the beauty of His creation from many locations.

ReplyDeleteYou always listen & share in all our travel adventures without ever complaining about your own dusty walking shoes...
Anchen, the memories that precious day spent with friends in Nieuwoudtville warms my heart, but it didn't occur to to me that I was truly surrounded by Sister Mother Earth. I travel through the stories of my friends now, and listen and appreciate all travel stories. Much love, S
